Peter Iiskola om finska medier

2015-05-28

A book for publication expands the Finnish variant of the Ulfkotte-case further to researchers - "Bought Journalists and Researchers in Finland". The book has tentacles also to Sweden and the Nordic region and beyond. It has also fresh stuff about "whistle blower" Newsweek and subsequent western media that truthfully were reporting the Finnish increasing war preparations and deteriorating relations with Russia.

Four questions to the Finnish main media* and researchers in Finland, which are suffering from new “Finlandization", see at the end.

Frankfurter Allgemeine Udo Ulfkotte’s revelations about CIA recruitment in the book "Bought Journalists” are repeated in Finland, but now just extended. Now it is not only traditional main media, but also researchers paid from public funds and that the media frequently uses in its reporting. Revealing details of the book "Bought Journalists and Researchers in Finland" expands the spectrum of Ulfkotte-case. The book is based, inter alia, on Eduard Snowden’s and Julian Assange's WikiLeaks leaks and will be published in the near future. For security reasons the authors or the place and time of issuing are not disclosed, according to the publisher through intermediaries. But the book is said to be nearing completion and is now complemented by fresh information of May this year, of which this brief example.

Western press both knows and writes the truth based on many different sources of current Finland’s expanded war preparations and increasingly frozen relations with Russia. But Finland, denies this vehemently through it’s to the west inclined new "Finlandized" main media* and researchers funded by public or perhaps other means - this denial campaign refrain no means or lies. Now it happens that the Western press has true information, but this conflicts surprisingly with the interests of CIA and the current Finnish leadership, because they want to hide the truth and bring the Finnish people for a long ride in the forest. Complicated, but true.

FIRST OF MAY the authoritative US Newsweek reported in a sensible and truthful article about Finland's recent NATO overtures and continued deterioration in relations with Russia in the light of various growing Finnish war preparations (e.g. letter to the 900,000 reservists about their tasks "in wartime"). The newspaper had partially interviewed me too, along with many other sources, as I had, inter alia, the experience of five tasks in international diplomacy in the UN, Council of Europe and Iran-US arbitration in The Hague. Even in Finland not so many persons believe in Defense Forces official explanation that the reservist letter has nothing to do with the current international situation. It is clear that Finland does not want to look aggressive, and that is also not the interest of CIA, which supports NATO's progress in Finland that is still non-Nato country. The evil must always be Putin and Russia. "Top Floor" became alarmed and gave orders. The obedient Finnish now westwards leaning "Finlandized" main media* and publicly paid researchers invented a little bulky white lie, but let’s go. Researchers ran hard entirely in a haphazard and unscientific manner, as Goebbels of Finland should do. These researchers were from the Finnish Institute of International Affairs Mr. Charly Salonius Pasternak and Mr. Mika Aaltola, and also Markku Kivinen from the University of Helsinki. The white lie was that Newsweek and I are "Putinist" and the Kremlin's agents with "money paid from Moscow" to publish an article in Newsweek. These lies and defamation were put on first pages headlines and opened newscasts all day long in Finland - Newsweek and the judge Peter Iiskola are agents of the Kremlin and Putin riders who bribed Newsweek to publish in one way or another. The state YLE television news used the first 7 minutes of their meager 20-minute broadcast to the smearing campaign and persistently banged into the skulls of the Finnish people this rubbish about Newsweek and me. Pasternak repeated the white lie cunningly. Kivinen said nervously in TV news that Newsweek and I are Russian propagandists and wondered how it was traded with Newsweek. He was referring to the newspaper and me as "trolls" (Kivinen make a mistake, because a "troll" is usually anonymous troublemaker, but both the newspaper and I are public with the name and everything). Kivinen suggested nervously - and just in Nazi and Stalinist censorship style - that we should regulate whom (foreign) media can interview in questions concerning Finland (compare with the US media Commission that has attempted to close the Russian RT television news). Kivinen claimed that relations between Finland and Russia are "good", despite the fact that Finland condemns Russia, participates in the EU's sanctions and increases military activities. Believe him if you want.

Faithful to his old habits the outgoing social democratic Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja praised on Facebook specifically Kivinen.

THREE WEEKS LATER the majority of Western power media reported like Newsweek, such as CNBC, BBC, the Daily Telegraph, ABC, NBC, Radio Free Europe, the Independent and the Daily Express. "Top Floor" could not start the information war against all his own western media fields, which revealed the Finnish aggression, but first you have to invent some phony Russian provocations, and then explain, unfortunately, that Finland must respond to provocations, and need the help of NATO. For this reason, the Finnish main media and researchers did not dare to repeat the big lie whopper, i.e. that all Western media would now be “Putinist” agents of the Kremlin and Moscow have paid their reporting. This would have been simply too thick. It is better to first invent imaginary Russian provocations or come up with some other debris.

THREE WEEKS AND TWO DAYS LATER - "Top Floor" gave orders that "Now we must do something" and step by step. Shortly, the Finnish main media honked through Charly Salonius Pasternak that the reports in the Western media are in fact positive for Finland, because the world understands how powerful army Finland really has. So, he forgot his opposite opinion on First of May and the whoppers lies that Newsweek and I are Russian propagandists, agents and bribing Newsweek in some strange way. The next step of the "Top Floor" is of course to show some invented Russian provocation, because Finland will then be able to answer it, and obviously need NATO to help ...

I ASK FINNISH MAIN MEDIA*, PASTERNAK, AALTOLA AND KIVINEN. You lied that Newsweek and I worked for the Kremlin's behalf with the most astounding assertions. You wanted this "Finlandizationed" serious fine to take attention away from the main facts, namely Finland’s increased preparations for war and the deterioration of relations with Russia. You asked not even in accordance with good journalist or research ethics anything, not even counter comments to the lie slandering, from Newsweek or me. Therefore, I ask:

1. How much, how and when did Moscow or Kremlin pay either directly or through me to the Newsweek article for publication, or a similar measure?
2. Why did you not immediately ask for Newsweek’s or my position in accordance with good journalistic or research ethics before you published this clearly unfounded lie of Newsweek and me - or did you get a blocking command from the "Top Floor"?
3. Why do not you not consistently claimed three weeks later that almost the entire Western media was “Putinist” and Moscow or the Kremlin agents paid by Putin when they reported the same thing as Newsweek and I? Why was this same thing three weeks later suddenly changing from negative to positive for Finland?
4. Do you know the story of the Frankfurter Allgemeine former editor in chief Udo Ulfkotte, who wrote the book "Bought Journalists" about how he worked 25 years for the CIA?
