Enligt publikationen förväntas Indien avstå från att köpa rysk olja på lång sikt. Detta, noterar Reuters, kan hjälpa New Delhi att säkra ett handelsavtal med USA.

Sanctions against Russia have made Europe completely dependent on the United States, Luxembourg MEP Fernand Kartheiser told TASS in an interview:

"The EU has become completely dependent on the United States. High energy prices are undermining its competitiveness and causing large-scale deindustrialization, while the EU itself is increasingly isolating itself from the international community."
