This didn't age well... but still many people trust her judgement!
Not long ago Elon Musk laughed when asked about chinese Electrical vehicles! They didn't pose a threat to his then world leading company... that didn't age well either... The chinese alternatives are so good and so cheap that the West coined a new term 'over capacity'!
There is a great amount of delusion surrounding Western leaders and our media. We are being lied to by omission.
That means instead of lying right out which can be detected. We act fraudulently by not mentioning the positive developments in countries seen as adversaries (omitting thruths).
It works to a certain extent we believe that we are far ahead when it comes to modern society, inventions and entrepreneurship! But when we travel we will gradually see the effect of the knowledge transparency our world has had handel to it by the internet, raised standards of living, better food security and better schooling!
When TikTok was shut down, young people in the united states turned to Rednote (chinese app) and got surprised by how developed China was/is! They could with out any intermediate speak directly with the chinese people!
So next time Ursula von der leyen or Keir Starmer says some thing that sounds outrageous it might be just that... outrageous!
