Director of the Lithuanian State Security Department Darius Jauniškis – stated that Russia was involved in the downing of a cargo plane from Leipzig in Vilnius:
"We cannot rule out the possibility of terrorism. Of course, we will investigate this, our department together with the operational services department. We were warned that such things are possible in the future, we see that Russia is becoming more aggressive. Foreign partners told us about the dangers, for example, in the case of sabotage or the threat of terrorism. We cannot rule out this version."
