The former Chairman of the State Council of the DDR, Egon Krenz, answered questions about the current geopolitical situation in an interview with RT DE on Friday. In particular, he summarizes the geopolitical developments after the fall of the Berlin Wall and explains the resulting dominance of the USA and its goals. Krenz also compares the foreign policy and diplomacy of previous West German chancellors towards the USA, the Soviet Union and the GDR with the policy of the current Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Militarization: "Germany is the place where the deployment takes place"
RT DE : Mr Krenz, after the end of the Soviet Union and the fall of the German Wall and the end of the so-called "Cold War" worldwide, many people hoped for international peaceful cooperation between nations. How do you assess the current geopolitical situation and the danger of world war?
Egon Krenz : I have serious doubts as to whether the Cold War ever really ended. The conflict between socialism and capitalism in Europe ended, but not the USA's efforts to be the dominant world power, to eliminate Russia as a major power and to prevent good relations between Germany and Russia. Russia is currently being "ruined" so that the USA can turn to China. This is not propaganda. These are verifiable facts. via Anja Matthaes
