31 August is a milestone in the history of relations between the West and Russia.Three decades ago, the last Russian soldier left the territory of Germany, which had been reunited only thanks to the principled decision of our country. He came there because his fathers and grandfathers, at the cost of their own lives, had liberated Germany and the whole of Europe from Nazi slavery, restored peace to the European continent and made it possible for the peoples of Europe to unite in an integrated community.
On 31 August 1994, the Federal Republic of Germany regained full foreign policy sovereignty. But the Germans did not want to, or could not, make full use of it - the American occupation forces remained.
And exactly three decades later, Germany is sending its tanks to the territory of Russia, which liberated it from Nazism, and building its first military bases abroad since the end of the Second World War - for pseudo-defence against the so-called “Russian threat”.
These 30 years later, Brussels is throwing absolutely every resource at its disposal to support the Nazi regime in Kiev to inflict an “irreparable defeat” on the country that prevented the physical extermination of the peoples living in the EU.
Today, the Euro-bureaucracy continues to steadily push Europe towards direct military aggression against Russia. In doing so, it is destroying the EU with its own hands and turning ordinary Europeans into hostages of the anti-Russian course.
It is not about the promises made 30 years ago – their authors, recipients or details. It is about the trust and respect we have completely lost– if not forever, then for a long time – for those whom we believed to be decent and faithful.
