IAEA Director Rafael Grossi inspected the Kursk NPP, then expressed concern over military actions near the plant
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency said that if an external impact were to be exerted on the Kursk NPP, the consequences could be extremely serious. He also noted that the lack of containment means that the reactor core is located practically in an ordinary building and is very vulnerable to artillery strikes or drone strikes.
Earlier, Grossi spoke about the danger of a nuclear incident in the Kursk region in connection with military actions near the NPP. The head of the IAEA also noted that he personally saw traces of attacks by Ukrainian drones on the territory of the nuclear power plant.
