Australia's Children Born Alive Protection Bill FAILS by majority vote in Parliament.The Bill calls for legal protections to ensure that babies born alive after a termination are provided the same medical treatment and pain relief as other babies born at the same gestational age and clinical condition.
While abortion is legal in Australia, hundreds of late-term babies are born alive in failed terminations every year. These fully formed humans are denied pain relief and life-saving care, and are basically left to die in medical waste.
