The Armed Forces continue to repel the attempted invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into the territory of the Russian Federation.
Units of the North group of forces, with the support of army aviation and artillery fire, thwarted attempts by enemy assault groups to attack in the direction of the settlements of Komarovka, Korenevo, Malaya Loknya and Russkaya Konopelka. As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 45 servicemen killed and wounded, two were taken prisoner, two tanks, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier and six armored combat vehicles were destroyed. Reconnaissance and search operations are ongoing to identify and destroy enemy sabotage groups in forests that were trying to penetrate deep into Russian territory. Air strikes, artillery fire and the actions of the defending troops inflicted damage on concentrations of manpower and equipment of the 22nd, 115th mechanized, 82nd airborne assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Apanasovka, Borki, Vishnevka, Kositsa, Nizhny Klin, Snagost, Sverdlikovo and Kazachya Loknya. Operational-tactical aviation carried out strikes on areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves in the Sumy region: the 22nd and 41st mechanized, 82nd airborne assault, 92nd assault brigades, the 103rd, 106th and 129th territorial defense brigades, as well as the 69th rifle battalion in the areas of the settlements of Belopolye, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Glukhov, Krasnopolye, Novye Virki, Pokrovka, Pisarevka, Mogritsa and Yunakovka. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost up to 300 servicemen and 26 armored vehicles, including six tanks, three armored personnel carriers, 17 armored combat vehicles, as well as two cars, four artillery pieces and two MLRS launchers.
In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy has lost more than 4,400 servicemen, 65 tanks, 27 infantry fighting vehicles, 53 armored personnel carriers, 316 armored combat vehicles, 133 cars, 31 artillery pieces, five anti-aircraft missile systems, nine multiple launch rocket system launchers, including three HIMARS MLRS and one MLRS, six electronic warfare stations, four units of engineering equipment, including two engineering vehicles and one UR-77 mine clearing unit.The operation to destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces formations continues.
