Syria cancels entry requirements for Palestinians
By decision of president Bashar al-Assad, Syria no longer requires anything from Palestinians but a travel document to enter the country, the Foreign Ministry announced, after cancelling previous requirements for a VISA and entry fees (just like any other incomer)
PFLP expressed their gratitude:
The PFLP highly appreciates the decision of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to cancel a decision requiring Palestinians to obtain a "visa" to enter Syrian territory, and allowing them to enter without any condition other than presenting their travel document or passport
We extend our greetings and gratitude to His Excellency President Dr. Bashar al-Assad and to the brotherly Syrian people, assuring that this decision will contribute to alleviating the burdens that our Palestinian people are bearing.
