RT Statskontrollerad media från Ryssland · 9 tim · During his speech at the 47th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Jiang Duan, minister of the Chinese mission to the UN in Geneva, called for an investigation into all genocidal crimes committed by the US and other Western nations. China, which currently stands accused of carrying out a genocide against its Uighur population, believes that such an investigation would ensure the West did not enjoy impunity and also root out genocide’s legacy of racism and discrimination in the world. Jiang listed several examples of genocides that had gone unpunished and even unnoticed by the international community, such as the mass killing of Indians in the US nearly 100 years after that nation’s founding, and Canada’s genocide of its indigenous people, in which 3,200 children were tortured to death. The minister also noted that other Western nations had committed similar atrocities during their respective periods of colonization and invasion of foreign territories.
