The Russian carrier group has now dropped anchor just 8.5 km east of the Greek Island of Crete in one of the three areas granted to the Russian Fleet by Greece, where they can rest in the Mediterranean and keep a watchful eye on Naval traffic, both theirs as well as those of the NATO fleets.
