Unforseen developments in Yemen…..
After a meeting between the Egyptian military Chief and his Syrian counterpart Egypt has announced the withdrawal of its air force from the Sunni coalitions fighting the Houthis in Yemen.
This comes on the heels of the talks between the Russians and Egyptians on the establishment of a Russian military base in Egypt, the termination of Egypt’s contract with Saudi Arabia for the supply of oil and the recent joint military exercise between Russian and Egyptian paratroopers in Egypt.
There are fears among the US alliance that Egypt is steadily gravitating towards the Russian-Syrian-Iranian alliance.
