Heavy battles have been raging, since 2 am this morning, in two Kurdish towns in the southeast of Turkey.
It is reported that Turkish armour divisions entered the towns in the early hours and begun their offensive.
There are no reports on the number of casualties yet, but houses and apartment building are ablaze.
The Kurdish residents are responding with Russian made anti-tank weapons.
