The Iraqi authorities are calling on Turkey to withdraw its forces from their sovereign territory, while the Turks are claiming that they are there on a joint operation with the US led alliance "to train Iraqi troops to fight the Islamic State", that even the US and Turkey's other NATO allies are admitting is being aided and armed by the Turkish military.

In the meantime Turkey has also lined up 1,000 tanks and a force of 20,000 troops on the border with Syria.

This action of Turkey to openly come out and militarily support the terrorist forces, places the Western alliance, that claims to be fighting ISIS in a very awkward situation. Do they now ally themselves with their "enemy" Russia that is actually fighting ISIS, or do they support their NATO partner that has placed its forces in the battle field in support of this terrorist organisation.

Things are about to get very messy in that region with "alliances" coming into question.
